As a B2B company leader, write and talk about what you’re passionate about. Here are 5 best topics to write about on LinkedIn 👇

Before we get to it, remember — if you’re not passionate about what you’re writing, what you’re talking about, it will come across in your writing.

And now, 5 topics.

1) Your Industry Trends
2) Your Business’s Vision
3) Employee Spotlights
4) How You Help Your Clients
5) Thought Leadership Pieces

Let’s get into each of them.

1) Your Industry Trends

Show that you’re keeping up with the latest news and developments. This helps position you and your business as an authority in your industry.

Plus, when you share your insights on current trends, other LinkedIn users are more likely to engage with your post (aka likes, comments, or shares).

Aim to write one or two posts per month on current industry trends.

2) Your Business’s Vision

Your business likely has a vision statement — but how often do you talk about it? By writing about your business’s vision on LinkedIn, you can help inspire others to join your company and help achieve that vision.

You can also show potential customers what sets your business apart from the competition.

Write a post on your business’s vision every quarter or so to keep it top of mind for both employees and customers alike.

3) Employee Spotlights

Spotlighting employees is a great way to show off your company culture and what makes working at your business unique. It also allows prospective employees to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work at your company — which could make them more likely to want to work there!

Finally, employee spotlights help create a sense of community within your organization by celebrating individual successes.

Aim to write one employee spotlight per week — either featuring a different employee each time or focusing on different aspects of the same employee’s job (their favorite part of their job, what they accomplished this week/month/year, etc.)

4) How You Help Your Clients

When you write about how you help clients, you show that you understand their needs — and that you have the solutions they’re looking for. This is an excellent way to attract new clients and position yourself as an expert in your field.

Try to write one post per month on how you’ve helped clients solve specific problems.

5) Thought Leadership Pieces

Thought leadership pieces are designed to showcase your expertise on a certain topic — whether it’s an opinion piece on current industry trends or an in-depth analysis of a problem facing businesses today. These pieces help establish you as an expert in your field and can be used to attract new clients or speaking opportunities.

Aim to write 2 thought leadership pieces per month — one shorter piece and one longer piece (1,500–2,000 words).

In the end, write about what interests and passions you have — after all, authenticity is key!
