What is a single Small Business typically worth to a Digital Marketing Agency?

I want to approach this topic from what I experienced.

In TheIuvo, we don’t think of our clients as just that — clients. Or even projects. We think of every single business as a partner.

Having this mindset is essential for getting the biggest value to anyone you work with.

That’s why all our clients are coming from referrals!

As a marketing agency, you can be hired to do just a website revamp — to create a new website for a business, or to modify the existing one. What does it mean? It means website design, graphic design, copy, UX, and coding. A lot of work!

Before you agree to do any kind of work, you have to do the analysis.

Sometimes, the client doesn’t want to change the design (maybe they have their own design team), but if you see that their design sucks, and it is always connected to a text on the website and the overall user experience, you have to be open and honest about it.

Build an open and honest relationship from the start.

Now, we do this for free if a client wants us to be in charge of its marketing for one year, which is another way to build a long-term relationship.

Before we start working with a client, we ask all the important and not so important questions, about their goals, target audience, the way they work, who are their employees, how do they choose them, do they help their neighborhood, how do they see their company now, and do they see it in 5 years and so on.. Ask everything you need to do the best job.

This is one more way to create trust.

When we add advertising to our services, we charge 20% of the budget client has for investing in ads.

Let me give you an example.

We were hired by an auto repair shop and vehicle dealership CRS Automotive back in 2015 to help them with their business. They had less than 10% of their customers coming from the Internet.

In 3 years, we turned everything around!

Now, they have more than 90% of their customers coming from the Internet, they are the first on Google Maps and in Google Search, their article about electric vehicles maintenance (which is the hot topic in the automotive world today) is on top of the Google Search, and, the most important of all, they opened a new shop in another city, where they’re selling used luxury and sports vehicles, and people from all over Ontario travel to Hamilton and Oakville to visit them.

We built partnership, and that trust gave even more results.

Together, we built the mobile app called MyShop, which helps you keep your vehicle in top shape — and rewards you for it! It turns the tedious and confusing world of automotive repair and maintenance into a simple and efficient experience with rewards and achievements.

It was the first step in creating a new company, together, called Sylidra Inc., which updates auto repair shops with mobile appointment booking system, 2-way multimedia chat, rewards, referral, and review system. To keep it simple — we do marketing for the automotive industry.

And that is, my friend, how you can, with a right mindset, build long-term relationships, partnerships and new businesses with your clients.

I didn’t get into numbers, but I’ll be glad to answer your questions, if any.

Cheers!
